PULSE Sport, a leading innovator in sports technology, recently received a €20,000 grant under the MIT Feasibility Project subsidy from the Province of North Holland. This significant funding supports PULSE Sport's groundbreaking Athlete Holistic Performance Measurement (ATHPEM) project, aimed at advancing athlete monitoring technology.
Advancing Athletic Health with Cutting-Edge Technology
With this grant, PULSE Sport will further develop its ATHPEM project, which uses state-of-the-art wearable sensors to deliver comprehensive insights into an athlete’s physical condition. Unlike conventional devices, ATHPEM includes Electromyography (EMG) sensors that measure muscle activity, providing a unique look into muscle fatigue and neuromuscular strain. This approach enables real-time monitoring during outdoor training, empowering athletes and coaches with accurate, holistic health data.
A New Era for Athlete Health and Injury Prevention
In the competitive sports landscape, physical health and injury prevention are critical. By analyzing various parameters such as muscle strain, energy output, and cardiovascular metrics, the ATHPEM system enables precise tracking and individualized insights. The user-friendly app and dashboard connect seamlessly with the wearable device, making it easy for coaches and sports clubs to monitor performance and mitigate injury risks.
Why This Grant Matters
The MIT Feasibility Project grant helps PULSE Sport assess ATHPEM’s technical and economic feasibility, supporting essential R&D that will refine and optimize the product. This funding underscores the importance of advanced health monitoring solutions in sports and reaffirms PULSE Sport’s commitment to innovation in athlete care. The project also contributes to the digital transformation in health and sports technologies, aligning with the mission-driven goals of the Province of Noord-Holland and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.
Looking Ahead
As ATHPEM progresses, PULSE Sport continues to develop partnerships with experts in sensor technology, software engineering, and sports science. This project is set to transform sports health monitoring, helping athletes reach their peak while minimizing the risk of injuries. The Province of North Holland’s support accelerates PULSE Sport’s mission to create holistic, data-driven solutions for sports clubs and athletes worldwide.
Amazing work PULSE!
congrats!
