📢 Are you a student or young graduate looking to learn and gain experience in back-end and/or full-stack development in an innovative startup based in the heart of Amsterdam?


Do you want to work in a sports-tech company aiming at helping pro athletes & sports clubs maximize performance, improve recovery, and prevent injuries?


In order to help us with our product development initiatives, PULSE is looking for its next Back-end / Full-Stack Developer Intern!


📌 Location:

  • Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands

  • Office located in Zuidas, inside the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).


💼 Employment Type:

  • Unpaid internship

  • On-site (with possibility for Hybrid work)

  • Minimum 6 months

  • Possibility to start as soon as possible.


📚 Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Develop and maintain the back-end functionalities of our software solutions (mobile app & online dashboards).

  • Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate user-facing elements.

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Contribute to the entire app and dashboards lifecycles, from concept to delivery.

  • Be involved in the creation of algorithms.

  • Work with Cloud-based solutions such as APIs, Databases, etc.


📝 Hard Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in server-side languages such as React, Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net.

  • Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Firebase, Oracle, and MongoDB.

  • Familiar with Cloud-based solutions such as Firebase, Google Cloud.

  • Experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.


🧑‍🎓 Educational Background:

  • Minimum requirement: Bachelor's obtained in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • A higher educational level will be prioritised (e.g., Master's degree), but we recommend all levels to apply.
